SATURDAY, APRIL 13 (9:00 A.M.) – SANTA MARIA VALLEY OPEN SPACE TRAILPALOOZA 5, 10, & 15 MILE RUNS:
These runs take place at the Newlove Picnic Grounds, 1555 Orcutt Hill Road in Orcutt. Santa Maria Valley Open Space offers a unique opportunity to run in the Solomon Hills with broad views from the scenic 101 corridor to the historic Bicknell townsite. The 5 mile loop begins at the picnic grounds and heads south with some steep climbs, making an out and back jaunt to Solomon Peak and loops back to the picnic Grounds. The 10 mile course does two laps with three laps for the 15 miles course (distances are approximate). The event schedule is 8;00 AM – Packet pickup; 9:00 AM – All races start; Noon – Awards ceremony; 12:30 PM – Cut-off for runners starting their final loop. There will be one aid station. Register at
