SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 (8:00 A.M.) – SPOONER’S COVE MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS:
This is part of the Coastal Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. Check-in, start, and finish at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park at the end of Pecho Valley Road in Los Osos. The 8K course has minimal climbing and runs along the bluff while the 13K course brings you up the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The 25K course consists of two loops, the 13K route and then to the 1,076-foot summit of Hazard Peak. Complete the 25K route twice for a 50K day. There are T-shirts to pre-entrants, refreshments, medals to the first male and female and to the top three in each age group. Check the web site at www.coastaltrailruns.com to register.
