SATURDAY/SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 & 17 (8:00 A.M.) – SPOONER’S COVE MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS:
This is part of the Coastal Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. Check-in, start, and finish at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park. Enjoy views of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and the ocean at the “Mountain of Gold”. The 8K course has minimal climbing and runs along the bluff. For sweeping views of the ocean and inland mountains, the 13K course that brings you up the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The 25K course consists of two loops, the 13K route and then to the 1,076-foot summit of Hazard Peak or you can complete the 25K route twice for a 50K day. There are plentiful aid stations, bring your own water container. The 25K & 50K will be held on Saturday only.
