THE SILVER MOON RACE

SATURDAY/SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24 & 25 (6:00 PM) – THE SILVER MOON RACE:

The Silver Moon Race is held at CASS Winery, 7350 Linne Road in Paso Robles and has distances of 10K, Six Hours, Twelve Hours, 24 Hours and 100 Miles plus relay divisions and a wine walk. It is a 2-mile lap route on farm roads around the vineyard. Start at sunset and run through the night under the full moon and stars until sunrise the next day. Race perks include a medal, a buckle for the 100 Mile finishers, a finisher’s certificate, race photos, and awards for the top finishers. TOOTH & NAIL 5K WINE RUN

SUNDAY, MARCH 10 (9:00 A.M.) – TOOTH & NAIL 5K WINE RUN:

This is a new event at the Tooth & Nail House of Wine vineyard, winery, and tasting room and registration Includes a race T-shirt, wine glass, finishers medal, chip timing, and results posted online. The place is Tooth & Nail House of Wine at 3090 Anderson Road in Paso Robles. The top 3 finishers in the following age categories will receive a custom age group award – 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over. Competitive runners should start with the first group to be eligible for an age group award. There will be no age group ceremony. Please look up your results after finishing and if you placed in your category, visit the registration table to pick up your award. MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS

SATURDAY, MARCH 30 (start times vary by distance) – MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (12K Half Marathon, 36K, 50K):

This is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. The check-in, start, and finish are at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park on Pecho Valley Road in Los Osos. All courses are hilly ones on trails through the park and offer varied types of terrain. The 12K covers Valencia Peak, the 21K goes along Hazard Peak, the 36K does both of those, and the 50K tackles the “Three Peaks” – Hazard, Valencia, and Oat’s. This is another new event and features the scenery and landscape of CASS Winery in Paso Robles. This race will be timed by J3 Timing and results will be posted on their web site at www.J3Timing.com. Registration Includes a T-shirt, wine glass, finishers medal, chip timing, and the top 3 finishers in each age category will receive an award. Awards are in 10 year categories for 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Note: There will be no age group ceremony and awards will not be mailed.. WEDNESDAY/SATURDAY, MAY15-18 (7:00 A.M.) – BORN TO RUN ULTRA TRAIL RUNNING EXTRAVAGANZA:

Born to Run is a weekend of trail running, music, camping and more. The Born to Run Extravaganza will feature Four Day, Three Day, 100 mile, 60 mile, 30 mile, 20 mile, and 10 mile trails runs with rolling hills, single and double track trail, wildflowers, red-tailed hawks, blue skies and clean air for an ideal running environment. The event will start and finish on the beautiful, private East Creek Ranch at 4155 Figueroa Mountain Road in Los Olivos.
