Pleasant Valley School Color My Future 5K Run

This is a 5K at Pleasant Valley School, going through the rolling hills and vineyards adjacent to the school with funds raised going towards academic improvements at Pleasant Valley School.

This event is a closed-course, off road loop that begins and ends at the school.

Registration includes the main event plus pancake breakfast and t-shirt and can be done through Active.com or check the website at www.colormyfuture.com for a registration form.

Pleasant Valley School is at 2025 Ranchita Canyon Road in the San Miguel area.

SATURDAY, JUNE 3 (8:00 A.M.) – LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION 5K

This 5K run to benefit The Lighthouse Foundation will take place at Pomar Junction Vineyard and Winery. The course winds its way along the roads of Templeton and back to the Winery at 5036 South El Pomar in Templeton. There will be a kid’s half mile following the finish of the 5K. Enjoy family activities with a bounce house, face painting, and crafts along with raffle prizes, breakfast burritos, and music. The Lighthouse Foundation provides programs for drug and alcohol abuse. Bull Canyon 5K, 10K, & Kid’s Runs @ Edwards Community Center

BULL CANYON 5K, 10K, & KID’S RUNS

SATURDAY, MAY 19 (7:30/8.00 A.M.)

All events start at the Edwards Community Center on North Panther Street in Santa Maria (East on Main Street from Highway 101, just north of Pioneer Valley High School).

The 10K will begin at 7:30 and the 5K run/walk at 8:00. The 5K is a relatively flat out and back course while the 10K continues farther up Bull Canyon and has more hills. Both distances will include a walk and the total number of entries for all events is limited to 1,000.

There is no race day registration. All finishers receive a medal, awards are 3 deep in 14 age groups, and plaques will be awarded to the top finisher in each age division.

PATCH ME IF YOU CAN 5K @ The Patch

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13 (8:45 A.M.) – PATCH ME IF YOU CAN 5K:   

This event will take place at The Patch, a new pumpkin patch located at 6271 Dominion Road in Santa Maria. This race is organized by high school students and proceeds from this race will contribute to youth scholarships. The Patch is located at Los Flores Ranch Park with 1,700 acres of unique trails and views. Two 5K’s in one with separate starts – an advanced run along with a beginners/intermediate walk/run. Check-in starts at 7:30, the advanced run begins at 8:50, and the beginner/intermediate section starts at 9:00.  Course information is available at thepatchsantamaria.com. It is the responsibility of participants to record their race time as your time will not be recorded by staff. Bring a water bottle as this race is a bottle-free race. Participants may register on race day for $25.00 (day-of registrants will not receive a t-shirt). Pre-registration is through active.com.

The Bull Canyon Run began in 1999. This 5K/10K is organized by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, whose goal is to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. Coast. All events start at the Edwards Community Center at 809 North Panther Street in Santa Maria. The 10K will begin at 7:30, the 5K run/walk at 8:00, and the kids runs at 9:30. The 5K is a relatively flat out and back course while the 10K continues farther up Bull Canyon and has more hills. All finishers receive a T-shirt and a medal, and medals will be awarded to the top finisher in each age division. Register at www.active.com. Paper applications will not be accepted, there will be no race day registration, and the cutoff to register is 5:00 PM on May 14. CANCELLED Lighthouse Foundation 5K @ Fableist Wine Company

SATURDAY, MAY 30 (8:00 A.M.) – LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION 5K CANCELLED!   

Thanks to those of you who have signed up for the 8th Annual Lighthouse 5K originally scheduled for May 30. It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this event due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus “shelter at home” order. Mark your calendars for next year on Saturday, June 5, 2020. This has been an important fundraiser and in 2019 we were able to raise over $26,000 at this event. If you have signed up for the run and would like to donate your registration fee, you do not need to do anything. If you would like to receive a refund, please email lighthousefunrun@gmail.com and a refund will be forthcoming. If you would like to make a donation, please go to lighthouseatascadero.org and click on the donation tab. Donations can also be made by check payable to Lighthouse Atascadero and sent to Post Office Box 3120, Atascadero, CA 93423-3120. Thank you for your continued support!
