LA CUESTA RANCH TRAIL RUNS (10K, 25K, 50K)

SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 (8:00 AM) – LA CUESTA RANCH TRAIL RUNS (10K, 25K, 50K):

These runs are directed by Luis Escobar and presented by Running Warehouse. They will take place at La Cuesta Ranch near Cuesta Park, just outside of San Luis Obispo at 2400 Loomis Road on a ranch that backs up to Poly Canyon and the West Cuesta Ridge. This is a working ranch and the start/finish area will be at the ranch barn. This event features 100% dirt trails and ranch roads with fantastic views of the West Cuesta Ridge. There will be three separate distances on courses that are a combination of rugged trail and ranch roads with rolling hills and plenty of elevation gain and loss. BUZZ MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K, 5K, & YOUTH MILE

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18 (7:00 AM/8:00 AM) – BUZZ MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K, 5K, & YOUTH MILE:

These races are at Camp Roberts off Highway 101 just north of San Miguel.  The course goes through the hills and meadows of the Camp Roberts National Guard Reservation with wildlife and spectacular views. Register online at www.runsignup.com or visit the race site at www.buzzmarathon.org to check the various race starting times. Proceeds benefit the athletic programs at Lillian Larsen School. The Silver Moon Race at CASS Winery in Paso Robles made its debut in 2021 and has distances of 2 Miles, 10K, Six Hours, Twelve Hours, 24 Hours, and 100 Miles plus relay divisions. It is a 2-mile lap route on farm roads around the vineyard. The course is designed to strengthen your endurance while being able to stop, rest, and refuel throughout the laps as needed. Start at sunset and run through the night under the full moon and stars until sunrise the next day. Race perks include a medal, a buckle for the 100 Mile finishers, a finisher’s certificate, race photos, a race towel, and award for the top finishers. MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS

SATURDAY, MARCH 25 (start times vary by distance) – MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (50K, 36K, Half Marathon, 12K):

This is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. The check-in, start, and finish are at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park on Pecho Valley Road in Los Osos. All courses are hilly ones on trails through the park and offer varied types of terrain. The 12K covers Valencia Peak, the 21K/half marathon goes along Hazard Peak, the 36K does both of those, or run the 50K and tackle the “Three Peaks” – Hazard Peak, Valencia Peak, and Oat’s Peak. DR. JOHN C. TRETTIN MEMORIAL 5K

SATURDAY, MARCH 25 (9:00 A.M.) – DR. JOHN C. TRETTIN MEMORIAL 5K:

This race was established to honor the memory of Lompoc marathoner John Trettin who was killed in a bicycling accident in 2000. The race starts and finishes at Cabrillo High School, 4350 Constellation Road and will be held on the Cabrillo HS cross-country course located behind the school. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and is the day of the race only. BORN TO RUN ULTRA TRAIL RUNNING EXTRAVAGANZA

SATURDAY, APRIL 15 (7:00 A.M.) – BORN TO RUN ULTRA TRAIL RUNNING EXTRAVAGANZA:

Born to Run is a weekend of trail running, music, camping and more. The Born to Run Extravaganza will feature Four Day, 100 mile, 60 mile, 30 mile, 20 mile, and 10 mile trails runs with rolling hills, single and double track trail, wildflowers, red-tailed hawks, blue skies and clean air for an ideal running environment. The event will start and finish on the beautiful, private East Creek Ranch at 4155 Figueroa Mountain Road in Los Olivos. Everyone who enters the ranch property must be registered in an event. The course will consist of multiple loops on 100% dirt with 2300’ of vertical gain per loop. ALLAN HANCOCK VITICULTURE CLUB 5K FUN RUN

SATURDAY, MAY 6 (8:30 A.M.) – ALLAN HANCOCK VITICULTURE CLUB 5K FUN RUN:

This event will take place at the Hancock track, 800 South College Drive in Santa Maria, to promote the school’s Viticulture and Enology program. Funds raised will go to activities through programs in connection with the local wine industry. Check-in time for race will be at 8:00 AM at the entrance to the AHC Track at Parking Lot #8, located by the Gym. Each participant will receive a shirt at registration and a medal upon completion. The run will start at the track, cover multiple laps, and then will continue outside to finish at the campus winery. Walkers are welcome. THE LIGHTHOUSE 5K

SATURDAY, JUNE 3 – THE LIGHTHOUSE 5K:

The Lighthouse 5K Run/Walk and Family Day features a scenic trail course so come enjoy this beautiful 5K at the Santa Margarita Ranch Education Center on Highway 58. There will be a kids half mile race and a 100 yard dash for ages six & under following the finish of the 5k run. After the runs, there will be a pancake breakfast, vendor fair, and music while kids can enjoy a bounce house, face painting and crafts. Proceeds benefit Lighthouse Atascadero which is dedicated to overcoming addiction in youth through awareness, prevention, and intervention. Registration is through www.runsignup.com and additional information can be found at https://lighthouseatascadero.org.
