SATURDAY, MARCH 7 (7:30/7:50/8:10/8:30 A.M.) – MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (50K, 36K, Half Marathon, 12K):
This is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. The check-in, start, and finish are at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2826 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos). All courses are hilly ones on trails through the park and offer a mix of rugged, rocky cliffs, coastal plains, sandy beaches, and streams. SATURDAY, MARCH 7 (8:00 A.M.) – HARES & HOUNDS 5K, MILE, & HALF MILE:
The race is at Atascadero Lake Park, 9305 Pismo Avenue just off Highway 41 West with the start and finish at the Park Pavilion. The 5K will be at 8:00 AM followed by a fun run mile at 8:45 AM, a half mile at 9:00, and the awards ceremony at 9:30. Awards are three-deep in 14 five-year age divisions for the 5K, medals in the mile and half mile, plus refreshments and raffle prizes (must be present to win). The event is a fundraiser for the Greyhound Athletic Foundation which supports athletic programs at Atascadero HS. The race is organized by K-Man Cycle & Run, 9530 El Camino Real, Atascadero, 93422. SATURDAY, MARCH 21 (8:30 AM) – SAN LUIS OBISPO HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO 5K:
The SLO Health and Fitness Expo Superhero 5K starts and finishes at the Alex Madonna Expo Center at 100 Madonna Road. It offers beautiful views of San Luis Obispo along the SLO bike path up a mountain trail and back to the Expo Center. Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to come enjoy the healthy lifestyle of the central coast.

SATURDAY, MARCH 28 (8:00 A.M.) – CHAPEL TO CHURCH HALF MARATHON:
The course starts at the San Ramon Chapel at 6601 Foxen Canyon Road in Sisquoc and the 13.1 mile course will take you along scenic country roads to the finish at the St. Louis de Montfort Church in Orcutt. A shuttle will be provided from St. Louis de Montfort Church to the San Ramon Chapel starting location. These will depart from St. Louis de Montfort at 7:00 AM and 7:15 AM. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, medals to the top two in each age/gender category, and lunch. Proceeds benefit Catholic Charities of Santa Maria. The California Department of Public Health has recommended that non-essential events be postponed or cancelled. SATURDAY, APRIL 4 (9:00 A.M.) – I-SCREAM 5K & KID’S RUN:
This event will take place just south of the pier in Pismo Beach. The I-Scream 5K and kids run is an all-ages event that combines fitness with a lot of ice cream at the finish line. The event will have a 5K for adults and a non-timed fun run for kids. The I-Scream 5K serves as a fundraiser for the Arroyo Grande Water Polo Club to offset program expenses. This event will take place on a private ranch at 2401 Drum Canyon Road in Lompoc, located in beautiful Drum Canyon outside Los Alamos. Presented by Luis Escobar, the event will be held in conjunction with the Los Alamos Business Association along with Drum Canyon Ranch owner Sam Howland. The event will feature a 5K & 10K trail run with overnight camping on the ranch, a guest speaker, wine tasting, and live music. SATURDAY, APRIL 25 – ROTARY CLUB RUN/WALK FOR MENTAL HEALTH:
This event will take place at Waller Park at 3107 Orcutt Road in Orcutt, located at the south end of Santa Maria just north of Skyway Drive. The run/walk starts on the north end of Waller Park at area #7, proceeds to the railroad trail behind the Hagerman Sports Complex and back to area #5. There are several hills and curves as the course follows the perimeter of the park. Registration and additional information can be found at www.active.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to Growing Grounds to give employment to those with mental illness along with providing a supportive setting for personal growth.

This non-competitive run has distances of 2K, 4K, & 10K and is open to runners and walkers with a limit of one dog per person. The new location is the River Star Cellars at 7450 Estrella Road in San Miguel and the event will be held rain or shine.
