PISMO BEACH STRIDE WITH THE TIDE 5K
SATURDAY, AUGUST 3 (8:30 A.M.)
This course is out and back on the hard-packed sand. Registration will be taken on race morning from 7:15-8:15 AM at the Pismo Beach pier at the end of Pomeroy Avenue and no pre-entry is needed before that. Entry fees are $15 without a race shirt or cap and $25 with one. Shirts and caps will be available to the first 150 entries and size requests will be filled in the order of entry. Awards will be given to the top three men and women ages 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, & 80+.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 (6:00 P.M) – ATASCADERO ALL COMERS TRACK MEETS:
This series of meets at Atascadero High School is open to all ages and abilities. Distances on the track range from the 100M to the 3000M and include relays and hurdles plus field events. SATURDAY, AUGUST 10 (9:00 A.M.) – ORCUTT TRAILS 5K & 10K:
These runs will take place at Orcutt Community Park, located at 5800 South Bradley Road in Orcutt. The courses will start from Orcutt Community Park and loop around the Orcutt Trails system. The moderate elevation changes on non-technical dirt trails make the course challenging but not difficult, along with beautiful views across the Santa Maria Valley. Proceeds from this event support the Santa Maria Valley Open Space trail advocacy group in their efforts to develop and maintain trails and open space for the Santa Maria Valley. TUESDAY, AUGUST 13 (6:15 P.M.) – RUNNING WAREHOUSE PUB RUN #5
This is the fifth in the Running Warehouse series of pub runs. There is no registration fee and the runs will be 3-4 miles (untimed). Each run will have a shoe sponsor offering the opportunity to test out their latest footwear and the run will be followed by a raffle and refreshments. SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 (7:45 A.M.) – 28TH ANNUAL A.F.S. PINEDORADO DAYS 5K:
This race is part of Cambria’s Pinedorado Days celebration and runs along a course that follows the Pinedorado parade route. The race, which takes place just before the parade, starts and finishes at Coast Union High School, 2950 Santa Rosa Creek Road in Cambria with registration opening at 7:00 AM. The entry fee is $20 without a shirt and $25 with one. It is a fundraiser for Coast Union’s American Field Service program and is directed by Sharon Bisso (995-1432).

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 (8:00 A.M.) – DUNE RUN 5K RUN, 5K WALK, & 10K RUN:
The Grover Beach Recreation Department is making some changes to the race this year, separating it from the Stone Soup Festival and its usual date in late August. Verify the start and finish location on either the City of Grover Beach web site or active.com as it has changed from previous years. The courses cover a diverse route along the beach boardwalk, hard packed sand, and soft sand dunes. T-shirts will go to the first 100 to register. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 (9:30 A.M.) – 9TH LOS ALAMOS OLD DAYS 5K STAMPEDE:
This race is part of the Old Days Celebration and the start, finish, and registration (from 8:00-9:15 AM) will be on Bell Street at Ferrini Park. The race will be over a scenic loop course through town and Los Alamos Park, finishing prior to the start of the parade. The race entry fee is $25 which includes a race t-shirt while supplies last. There will be awards to the top three in seven age divisions and a trophy to the first overall male and female finishers. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12 (9:00 A.M.) – NIPOMO OCTOBER FESTIVAL FOUR MILE RUN & TWO MILE WALK:
This run will be held at Nipomo Regional Park, 555 Pomeroy Street in Nipomo (at Tefft & Pomeroy). The four mile course is out and back and there is a two mile walk over the same route with an earlier turnaround. There will be no awards at this non-competitive run but there will be raffle prizes with the drawing at 8:30 AM prior to the race (winners must be present) and refreshments. There will be activities including music, food, and booths in the park after the race. The run is organized by the Nipomo Recreation Department, 239 West Tefft Street (Post Office Box 346), Nipomo, 93444, 929-5437, www.nipomorecreation.org, and registration can be done on-line through www.active.com. All funds raised from this event go to benefit local youth recreation and sports programs in the Five Cities.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13 (7:00 A.M) – CITY TO THE SEA HALF MARATHON & SEASIDE 5K:
The half marathon starts at 7:00 AM in downtown San Luis Obispo and goes along frontage roads to Dinosaur Caves Park in Pismo Beach. The 5K takes place on an out-and-back course at Dinosaur Caves Park. Proceeds from both races go to the Cuesta College cross country and track programs.
