ANTHONY’S “SEEING IS BELIEVING” 5K @ Addie Street parking lot south of the pier, Pismo Beach

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 (8:30 A.M.) – ANTHONY’S “SEEING IS BELIEVING” 5K:

This race will take place on the sand in Pismo Beach with registration at the Addie Street parking lot south of the pier. It is a fundraiser for the eye disease LCA and is named in honor of Anthony, a student who suffers from this disease which causes blindness. Register online at ultrasignup.com or mail your registration form to Post Office Box 2603, Pismo Beach, 93448. There will also be awards and a raffle with tickets available at $1 each. PISMO BEACH TURKEY TROT @ Pismo Beach Pier

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 22 (8:30 A.M.) – PISMO BEACH TURKEY TROT:

Start and finish on the sand on the south side of the Pismo Beach pier and choose from distances of one mile, 5K, & 10K. There is no entry fee but donations are welcome and the money will go to the Food Bank Coalition. T-shirts will be on sale for $15. Start the New Year off with the third annual New Year’s Day Pismo Pier 5K & Polar Plunge. The run will take place entirely on the beach and start and finish at the foot of the historic Pismo Beach Pier and there will be a separate run for small children. Buzz Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K @ Camp Roberts

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16 (8:00 AM/8:30 AM) – BUZZ MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K, 5K, & YOUTH MILE:

The Buzz Marathon is at Camp Roberts just north of San Miguel.  The course goes through the hills and meadows of the Camp Roberts National Guard Reservation with wildlife and spectacular views. Directed by Larry Halderman, Lillian Larsen School, 1601 “L” Street, San Miguel, 93451. I-SCREAM 5K & KID’S RUN @ Just South of the Pier in Pismo Beach

SATURDAY, APRIL 13 (9:00 A.M.) – I-SCREAM 5K & KID’S RUN:

This event will take place just south of the pier in Pismo Beach. The I-Scream 5K and kids run is an all-ages event that combines fitness with a lot of ice cream at the finish line. The event will have a 5K for adults and a non-time fun run for kids of varying distances based on age.

The I-Scream 5K serves as a fundraiser for the Arroyo Grande Water Polo Club to offset program expenses. The entry fee includes ice cream, a T-shirt, medals for kids, and chip timing for the 5K. For more information and to register, go to www.runsignup.com.

CITY TO THE SEA HALF MARATHON & SEASIDE 5K @ Dinosaur Caves Park

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13 (7:00 A.M) – CITY TO THE SEA HALF MARATHON & SEASIDE 5K:

The half marathon starts at 7:00 AM in downtown San Luis Obispo and goes along frontage roads to Dinosaur Caves Park in Pismo Beach. The 5K takes place on an out-and-back course at Dinosaur Caves Park. Proceeds from both races go to the Cuesta College cross country and track programs. PARKS 4 PUPS DOG JOG IN THE VINEYARD

This non-competitive run has distances of 2K, 4K, & 10K and is open to runners and walkers with a limit of one dog per person. The new location is the River Star Cellars at 7450 Estrella Road in San Miguel and the event will be held rain or shine. An early registration fee of $30 includes the walk/jog/run at the distance of your choice, a dog bandana, goody bag, finisher’s medal, a voucher for lunch, and an event glass.
