SPOONER’S COVE, MONTANA DE ORO

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10 (8:00 A.M.) – SPOONER’S COVE MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (5M/8M/25K/50K):

This is part of the Coastal Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. Check-in, start, and finish at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2828 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos). Enjoy views of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and vast expanse of the ocean at the “Mountain of Gold”. The 5 mile course has minimal climbing and runs along the bluff. For sweeping views of the ocean and inland mountains, try the 8 mile course that brings you up the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The 25 km course consists of two loops, the 8 mi route and then head out to the 1076-foot grassy summit of Hazard Peak. Not enough climbing? Complete the 25 Km route twice for a 50K day.
