SATURDAY, JULY 16 (8:00 A.M.) – BRIAN WATERBURY ROCK TO PIER RUN:
Join the Morro Bay Recreation Department for the 52nd running of the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run. Named in memory of SLDC co-founder Brian Waterbury who originated the race in 1970, this 6 mile point to point race is held completely on the beach (hard packed sand) from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in 15 age divisions from 10 & under to 80 & over. Transportation will be provided from the pier back to Morro Rock where a breakfast and the awards ceremony will be held.
