SATURDAY, MARCH 2 (8:00 A.M.) – HARES & HOUNDS 5K, MILE, & HALF MILE:
The race is at Atascadero Lake Park, 9305 Pismo Avenue just off Highway 41 West with the start and finish at the Park Pavilion. The 5K will be at 8:00 AM followed by a fun run mile at 8:45 AM, a half mile at 9:00, and the awards ceremony at 9:30. Awards are three-deep in 14 five-year age divisions for the 5K, medals in the mile and half mile, plus refreshments and raffle prizes (must be present to win). SATURDAY, MARCH 9 (7:30/7:50/8:10/8:30 A.M.) – MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (50K, 36K, Half Marathon, 12K):
This is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. The check-in, start, and finish are at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2826 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos). All courses are hilly ones on trails through the park and offer a mix of rugged, rocky cliffs, coastal plains, sandy beaches, and streams. SATURDAY, MARCH 23 (6:00 A.M.) – SANTA BARBARA NINE TRAILS 35 MILE ENDURANCE RUN:
This event will be at 1150 San Roque Road in Santa Barbara with big climbs, great views, and technical trails. The Nine Trails is a challenging course for trail runners of every ability. The trails are steep, rocky, and long with more than 10,000’ of vertical gain and descent packed into the 35 miles. SATURDAY, MARCH 23 (8:30 AM) – SAN LUIS OBISPO HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO 5K:
The SLO Health and Fitness Expo 5K starts and finishes at the Alex Madonna Expo Center at 100 Madonna Road. It offers beautiful views of San Luis Obispo along the SLO bike path up a mountain trail and back to the Expo Center. The Fitness Expo encourages walkers and runners of all abilities to come enjoy the healthy lifestyle of the central coast.

SUNDAY, MARCH 31 (8:00/8:15/9:15 A.M.) – WINE COUNTRY HALF MARATHON, 5K, & KID’S GRAPE STOMP:
The race will start and finish at the CaliPaso Winery at 4230 Buena Vista Drive in Paso Robles. The course takes you over rolling hills, through picturesque vineyards, and along the Salinas River. After the race, enjoy breakfast, music, a raffle, and the awards ceremony. All runners receive a tech T-shirt and the male and female winners of the half marathon win their weight in wine. Medals and a wine glass to all half marathon finishers and awards to the top three in 13 age groups in both races. The half marathon begins at 8:00 (walkers at 7:15), the 5K at 8:15, and the Grape Stomp half mile for ages 10 & under at 9:15 AM. The Tar Springs Ranch Ultra is back for its second year. Experience the beauty of this ranch, located southeast of Arroyo Grande in the Huasna Valley. The course offers a variety of terrain with oak trees, open valleys, and majestic views. Race organizers will have camping, food, entertainment, and some wonderful trails. There will be gender specific tech shirts, a custom finisher’s mug, post-race meal, awards to the top 3 plus age groups, course support and aid stations. Coastal Thrivers – New event
SATURDAY, APRIL 6 (9:00 A.M.) – COASTAL THRIVERS 5K BEACH RUN, WALK, & WELLNESS FAIR:
Meet at the Addie Street parking lot at 100 Park Avenue in Pismo Beach, a few blocks south of the pier. 5K participants will receive a T-Shirt, finishers medal, and refreshments. To be guaranteed the shirt and medal, participants must enter the 5K before the cut-off date of March 1. The 5K race will start at 9:00 AM and the 5K walk will begin ten minutes later. No strollers, pets, or headphones are allowed for the safety of all participants. The Wellness Fair will go from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM and will have informational vendors, music, and social support. SUNDAY, APRIL 7 (6:30 AM/7:30 AM) – TENT CITY MARATHON, HALF MARATHON, 10K, & 5K:
The location is the Sunken Gardens, 15 East Mall, Atascadero for the Tent City Marathon, which will have free race photos, on-course entertainment, multiple aid stations, live music, a yoga and foam roller area, and massage. This event features beautiful rolling hills and is a fundraiser for The Atascadero Printery Foundation, a group dedicated to preserving and rehabilitating Atascadero’s historic Printery Building into a community center for the Arts and Sciences. SATURDAY, APRIL 13 (9:00 A.M.) – I-SCREAM 5K & KID’S RUN:
This event will take place just south of the pier in Pismo Beach. The I-Scream 5K and kids run is an all-ages event that combines fitness with a lot of ice cream at the finish line. The event will have a 5K for adults and a non-time fun run for kids of varying distances based on age.
The I-Scream 5K serves as a fundraiser for the Arroyo Grande Water Polo Club to offset program expenses. The entry fee includes ice cream, a T-shirt, medals for kids, and chip timing for the 5K. For more information and to register, go to www.runsignup.com.
