SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (7:00 AM/8:30 AM/9:30 AM) – PACIFIC PREMIER PASO ROBLES HALF MARATHON & 5K
These races start and finish in the Downtown City Park on Spring Street in Paso Robles. Runners in the half marathon enjoy a tour of the city center before heading out towards the hills of wine country. The entry fee includes a short-sleeve tech unisex shirt, bib timing, awards, aid stations, and a well-marked course. The 5K is two paved loops through downtown Paso Robles while the Family Mile and SLO County Elementary School Championship race are a paved loop around City Park for young runners, and families who want to race. Parking is free but limited so please carpool.
The pending schedule: 6:00 AM – Packet pick-up begins; 7:00 AM – Half Marathon start; 8:30 AM – 5K start; 9:30 AM – Family Mile/County Championship Mile; 10:00 AM – Kids’ Dash; 10:30 AM – Awards.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 – FRIENDS OF LOPEZ LAKE TURKEY TROT
These runs will take place at Lopez Lake with an official address of 6800 Lopez Lake Drive, Arroyo Grande. There will be a mile for youth, a 5K, and a 10K, all on trails. It is conducted by the Friends of Lopez Lake, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of Lopez Lake and which promotes and supports recreational, environmental, and educational activities. Park entrance is not included with event fee and there is a charge of $10.00 per vehicle and $3.00 per pet payable at the park entrance. The runs will be held rain or shine and there is plenty of parking so come spend the day at Lopez Lake. Registration is through www.active.com.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 (2:00 P.M.) – ARROYO GRANDE YOUTH TURKEY TROT:
A series of races by grade level for boys and girls, starting with 1/8 mile for kindergarten and below up through a mile for 7th & 8th grades. The races will be held at Arroyo Grande High School, 495 Valley Road at the track. Boys and girls run separately with a turkey to the race winner, a chicken to the runner-up, and a cornish game hen for third in each race. Sign-ups are at the AGHS track prior to the races.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 22 (8:30 A.M.) – AVILA BEACH TURKEY TROT:
This event will have a 5 mile run and 2 mile walk. Check-in is at The Promenade on Front Street and the courses will go out-and-back along the Bob Jones bike trail. A donation of $20 is suggested and the money will go to the Food Bank Coalition. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 (8:00 A.M.) – SPOONER’S COVE MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (5M/8M/25K/37K/50K)
This is part of the Coastal Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. Check-in, start, and finish at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2828 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos).
Enjoy views of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and the ocean at the “Mountain of Gold”. The 5 mile course has minimal climbing and runs along the bluffs. For impressive views of the ocean and inland mountains, the 8 mile course will bring you up the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The 25 km course consists of two loops, the 8 mi route and then the grassy summit of Hazard Peak or complete the 25K twice for a 50K day. SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 2019 (8:00 A.M.) – LA CUESTA RANCH TRAIL RUNS (10K, 25K, 50K):
Directed by Luis Escobar, these runs will take place at the La Cuesta Ranch just outside of San Luis Obispo at 2400 Loomis Road. The ranch backs up to Poly Canyon and the West Cuesta Ridge. This is a working ranch and the start/finish area will be at the ranch barn. This event features 100% dirt trails and ranch roads with fantastic views of the West Cuesta Ridge. SATURDAY, JANUARY 12 (8:00 A.M.) – CASTLE TO COAST EIGHT MILE RUN:
Enjoy 8.2 miles of beautiful ocean views on this point to point course, which begins at Hearst San Simeon State Park, 442 San Simeon Road, just north of San Simeon, and end at Shamel Park in Cambria. Shuttles will be provided back to the start. Entries are limited to the first 300 to register and proceeds help support Cuesta College XC. Register through www.active.com. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (9:00 A.M.) – CHAPEL TO CHURCH HALF MARATHON:
The course starts at the San Ramon Chapel at 6601 Foxen Canyon Road in Sisquoc and the 13.1 mile course will take you along scenic country roads to the finish at the St. Louis de Montfort Church in Orcutt. A shuttle will be available to take you to the starting location, leaving from St. Louis de Montfort Church. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, participation medal, medals to place winners, and BBQ lunch. Proceeds benefit Catholic Charities of Santa Maria. Walkers start at 8:00 and runners at 9:00 AM.
