The run will take place entirely on the beach and start and finish at the foot of the historic Pismo Beach Pier. SATURDAY, JANUARY 6, 2018 (8:00 A.M.) – LA CUESTA RANCH TRAIL RUNS (10K, 14 Miles, 28 Miles)
Directed by Luis Escobar, these runs will take place at the La Cuesta Ranch just outside of San Luis Obispo at 2400 Loomis Road. The ranch backs up to Poly Canyon and the West Cuesta Ridge. This is a working ranch and the start/finish area will be at the ranch barn. This event features 100% dirt trails and ranch roads with fantastic views of the West Cuesta Ridge. SATURDAY, JANUARY 13 (8:00 A.M.) – CASTLE TO COAST EIGHT MILE RUN:
Enjoy 8.2 miles of beautiful, point to point, ocean views beginning at Hearst San Simeon State Park, 442 San Simeon Road, just north of San Simeon, and ending at Shamel Park in Cambria. Shuttles will be provided for transportation back to start..

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (8:00/9:00 A.M.) – CHAPEL TO CHURCH HALF MARATHON:
The course starts at the historic San Ramon Chapel at 6601 Foxen Canyon Road in Sisquoc and the 13.1 mile course will take you along Palmer Road to Dominion and then west on Clark Avenue to the St. Louis de Montfort Church. When you arrive at the finish, you will get a tri-tip lunch served by the Knights of Columbus.

The Cal Poly Triathlon Team is hosting a 5K,10K, and Kids’ run to benefit both the triathlon team and United Way, a non-profit organization focused on improving health and education in the local community. SATURDAY, MARCH 3 (8:00 A.M.) – HARES & HOUNDS 5K, MILE, & HALF MILE:
This is the 20th year for the Hares N Hounds 5K so there will be many “20th Annual” activities and awards, including handmade clay medals and lots of raffles prizes. This race is at Atascadero Lake Park, 9305 Pismo Avenue just off Highway 41 West with the start and finish at the Park Pavilion. The 5K will be at 8:00 AM followed by a fun run mile at 8:45 AM, a half mile at 9:00, and the awards ceremony at 9:30. Awards are three-deep in 14 five-year age divisions for the 5K, medals in the mile and half mile, plus refreshments and raffle prizes (must be present to win).
The event is a fundraiser for the Greyhound Athletic Foundation which supports athletic programs at Atascadero HS. This is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. The check-in, start, and finish are at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2828 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos). All courses are hilly ones on trails through the park and offer a mix of rugged, rocky cliffs, coastal plains, sandy beaches and streams. The SLO Health and Fitness Expo 5K starts and finishes at the Alex Madonna Expo Center at 100 Madonna Road. It offers beautiful views of San Luis Obispo and takes you along the SLO bike path up a mountain trail and back to the Expo Center. The Fitness Expo encourages walkers and runners of all abilities to come enjoy the healthy lifestyle of the central coast.

SUNDAY, MARCH 17 (10:00 A.M.) – ATASCADERO IRISH FEST 3 MILE
Enjoy a 3 mile run around Atascadero Lake before taking in the Atascadero Irish Festival in the Lake Pavilion, 9315 Pismo Avenue, Atascadero, 93422.
The run is open to all ages and is not certified. This is a casual run to kick off the day. Due to the limited road space around the lake, we are limiting the number of runners to 200. Walkers are welcome but the event will stop timing after one hour. There are no awards but the results will have age groups of 1-9, 10-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, & 90+.
Race day registration will end at 9:45 AM and there will be no race day registration if online registration reaches the 200 limit.
The course starts at the south end of the lake shore and runs clockwise for 2.25 laps around the lake and finishes on the lawn in front of the pavilion. Results will be online at phototiming.com after the race.
