SPOONER’S COVE, MONTANA DE ORO

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 (8:00 A.M.) – SPOONER’S COVE MONTANA DE ORO TRAIL RUNS (5M/8M/25K/37K/50K)

This is part of the Coastal Trail Run series designed to provide quality trail running experiences. Check-in, start, and finish at Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, 2828 Pecho Valley Road (Los Osos).

Enjoy views of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and the ocean at the “Mountain of Gold”. The 5 mile course has minimal climbing and runs along the bluffs. For impressive views of the ocean and inland mountains, the 8 mile course will bring you up the 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. The 25 km course consists of two loops, the 8 mi route and then the grassy summit of Hazard Peak or complete the 25K twice for a 50K day. There are T-shirts to all entrants, refreshments, medals to the first male and female overall, and to the top three in each age group. Check the web site at www.coastaltrailruns.com to register.
